on judgments

"Former judgment is merely a judgment of perception and is of subjective validity only; it is merely a connection of perceptions in my mental state, without reference to the object."

basically what he is trying to say is that judgments of subjective validity are basically judgments drawn from references to the mind of perception without acknowledging the object itself because judgments that are objectively valid are universally valid, meaning it is known to everybody, its drawn from appearance rather than perception.

The look, the swagger, first impression, probably everything rides on how people judge you. If you are famous or popular and just you by name, then you create reputation. You can be a nice person, but if you're mean in that first time someone saw you, that person thinks ou're a mean person. That is how the world works sadly. i believe it is appearance rather than perception, but after you seen the appearance then you create your perception if things.

appearances have always been a key sense of judgement and perception. If you take a an old car that looks terrible on the outside, it doesn't matter whats under the hood because It will still appear to look like a bad car.
